We do not sell your protected health information to marketing or advertising networks, and we do not use clinical data to target ads. Per HIPAA, any sale of PHI requires your written authorization, which we will not solicit for advertising or marketing. The aggregate de-identified dataset is used internally for protocol refinement and is HHS Safe Harbor de-identified.¶ link

The HIPAA Privacy Rule does not require opt-in for de-identified secondary data use. Opt-in framing is typically a marketing pattern, not a legal requirement, and the friction means most patients never participate.
